The third SIF Connects! London on 17 May 2012 celebrated two new collaborations and the strengthening of relationships between Singapore and United Kingdom communities.

The MoU between SIF and Asia House was signed by SIF Governor Ms Jennifer Lewis and Acting Chief Executive of Asia House Mr Sumi Ghose, in the presence of Singapore’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom HE T Jasudasen and the two Deputy Chairmen of Asia House Mr Vahid Alaghband and Mr Zed Cama.

The Singapore International Foundation (SIF) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Asia House to collaborate in the exchange of insights and perspectives between Singaporean and British business leaders. Young business leaders from the United Kingdom will join the SIF’s global network of Young Business Ambassadors when the first initiative under the SIF-Asia House partnership – Singapore-United Kingdom Young Business Ambassadors programme – commences in September 2012.

The Utopias exhibition, featuring individual and collaborative works by Singaporean artist Michael Lee and British artist Bob Matthews from the first Artist-in-Residence Exchange (AiRx) programme in partnership with the British Council, was also launched at SIF Connects! London.

Through such multi-faceted business and cultural engagements, SIF will grow a global community of Friends of Singapore (FOS) promoting collaborations between SIF, Singapore and the international community to enrich lives and effect positive change.
